I am a qualified English teacher with over 17 years of classroom experience, dedicated to helping young people grow in confidence and achieve their full potential. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to teach a wide range of students, guiding them not only towards academic success but also towards a lifelong appreciation of language and literature.
Over the years, I have held key leadership roles, including Head of English, where I was responsible for leading a department, shaping curriculum, and supporting both students and staff. I now hold whole-school responsibility for developing literacy skills, a role that allows me to support every learner in improving their reading, writing, and communication.
Alongside my school career, I have also worked as a private tutor for the past 8 years. This has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to work closely with individual students, tailoring lessons to their unique needs, boosting their confidence, and celebrating their progress step by step.
Whether it’s preparing for exams, improving writing skills, or simply gaining more confidence in English, I bring patience, expertise, and encouragement to every lesson. My goal is simple: to help students thrive, both in their studies and beyond.
